Yao Ming Mania: Houston welcomes Artest with open arms

andrew · 1 year agoIf I were Yao, I would voluntarily give up a portion of my salary just to keep Artest in Huston for a couple of years so that the Rockets will be competivie all the time. Yao makes enough money off court anyway, so a small cut doesn't mean much to him, but it would mean a lot to Artest. Trust me, Artest is exactly the kind of player that Yao and T-Mac need to become a contender. Someone has to pass on the suggestion to Yao somehow, for his own good of course. I am sure Artest will make Yao and T-Mac look good and feel good for a long time.

AirChina23 · 1 year agoI'm sure when asked, Yao would definitely consider sacrificing his pay. But T-Mac is still the highest paid Rocket at 21 mil. And he doesn't have to contribute any to the Chinese sports federation.

Pat · 1 year agoThe play union won't allow that to happen if Yao or Tmac are willing to do so.
