It could be a sudden-found experience or it could be someone like Deke who pushes him to try to block more. Whatever happened, it is nice to see him attempting more blocks and successfully accomplishing many of them.

Re: Rockets get revenge against Griz

yeah... yao is getting more block.. as long as they dont call stupid fouls in yao... he should be able to avg. more than 2 block per game...
one more thing.. if he work on he reflexes and upper strength ... he should avg. 12 rebound per game.....he should be top 5 in those 2....

Re: Rockets get revenge against Griz
John

That's quick with your excellent game summary.

I agree with your observation that the game with Dnver Nuggets could turn out to be the toughest compared to the other 2 games with San Antonio Spurs.

First Denver is a high-altitude city where Big Yao always finds it hard to breathe and play.

Second Denver Nuggets is currently in a fast downward spiral, losing 7 out of 10 of their previous games, just got beaten by Sacramento Kings on the road, and therefore overtaken by both Utah Jazz and Portland TrailBlazers in the Northwest Division, and had skidded down to the 7th place in the Western Conference. Such team with their back to the wall is always dangerous. It was just like when you chase a dog into a dead-end alley, you have to be very careful that for survival, the dog will bark, snarl and counter-attack to bite you.

Let's hope the Rockets will keep their current momentum, play with intensity, energy and urgency to win there in Pepsi Centre.
