The little sympathy I had for him is now completely gone. This selfish player is so disrespectful and unprofessional to his team and teammates, it will be a bad bad mistake to keep him.

I remember in a game with Dallas a couple of years back, he and Dirk were duelling and both had scored over 40 points each ( if I remember correctly), and yet his team, the Rockets lost. After the game, this me-first player was all smile and said how much he enjoyed the duelling with Dirk - while his team lost. This proved that he put himself way above the team. This is one incident, and there are many more.

If Yao and other teammates don't get pumped up after reading what he said, I don't know what will. I hope they ( the Rockets) would play their hearts out and get out of at least the first round
( better still win the championship! ) and show this ungrateful player what an average team the Rocket is!

Re: Rockets prove they’re for real in impressive win over Cavs

It’s unbelievable that Charles Barkley said after the game that he doesn’t think Houston is a contender, even after this big victory. And before the game, I don’t know why he and Kenny Smith kept saying that trading Rafer Alston was going to mean a big drop-off in production for Houston’s offense.
------------------

Charles donkey and smith don't know anything to be an game analyst. They get paid millions are an Embarrassment to TNT and NBA and should be fire from their job. How can a suppose be pro analyst made a huge error in terms of game prediction? They watch and analyst games for a living. next time don't take their word for it. I also think part of them saying that Houston is not a contender after the game is because they have a self ego, them not there playing so it's easier to make Judgment on teams and players, it's like been there done that kind of ego thing.

Re: Rockets prove they’re for real in impressive win over Cavs

YUP, I concurred with what John said about T-LACK.....lack of heart and lack of professionalism. Get paid US$ 20M but opted to sit and earn it without shedding a sweat.

And when one read what he said about the team when he threw every of his past and current team mates, particularly Big Yao, under the bus, by saying every team he had played so far were average teams, it made you dislike/hate him more.

IMHO, he is just a very egocentric, me-mine-my player, that put personal glory and statistics above his team. If something is not working to his favor, or to what he likes, he would either quit or held the team hostage. He did it before, and he is doing it now.

quote

"I haven't been the guy who's been fortunate enough to play with Shaq, to play with Tim Duncan. I always seem to have average teams,'' he said. "You take me back in my Orlando days with Shaq? Come on, there are no questions. You take a healthy me and switch me out with Paul Pierce [on the current Celtics]? There's no question. There's definitely no question.''
--- http://sportsillustrated.cn...

unquote

Re: Rockets prove they’re for real in impressive win over Cavs

Yao Ming really dunked it in Lebron's face!!! He has wasted alot of fans' time and is getting paid $20 million a year to be professional, and I don't believe athletes who make that kind of money should be coddled. They get paid in part to take the heat by making their living in the limelight. If he can't handle it, like he has exhibited, then he needs to get out, which it looks like what he's doing. The only way I would take the heat off him is if he returned 1/2 of this year's salary and all of next year's. That's because I feel the microfracture surgery option is kind of a cop-out. Don't play for a year and get paid $20 million. Not a bad gig if you can swing it.

Re: Rockets prove they’re for real in impressive win over Cavs

We should ignore what is said by a guy who does not know how to behave in his own life. Yao played like the champ he is and loved the block he had on LeBron and the dunk on him as well.

Re: Rockets prove they’re for real in impressive win over Cavs

That was a tremendous win. I am glad my optimism proved me right. The Rockets simply destroyed the Cavs. And Yao, omg, he scored 10 in the third, the same number of points the whole Cav. team scored! That's hilarious!

Re: Rockets prove they’re for real in impressive win over Cavs

john,

i am also glad the rox are doing well and have moved on from the tmac situation.

but i'm not sure if u have moved on from the tmac situation. before every article u have chosen to trash him in one way or another. its become a drag to read that part when what i really wanna read about is how well the rox are doing. just my 2 cents.

Re: Rockets prove they’re for real in impressive win over Cavs

Even though i like Barkley, i sometimes feel like he's talking out of his ass. It's kind of sad a Hall of Famer doesn't have much
credibility for his commentary when he thinks he does. He and Clyde
Drexler both. At least Chuck can be funny at times.

Re: Rockets prove they’re for real in impressive win over Cavs

I don't take anything Chuck says seriously. Amazing. The King didn´t know what hit him, a perfect payback for the loss in Cleveland.
