I watched the TNT coverage, and they showed Yao's block on replay, and the announcers were impressed. I don't know if you were watching TNT or FSN-Houston's coverage.

On game highlights at the end of the game or halftime, they typically like to show scoring plays. Blocks are rarely shown for whatever reason unless it's a highlight reel of great defensive plays. So I didn't have too much of a problem with TNT's coverage of Yao. -- John

Re: Yao leads Rockets to clip Cleveland

It seems that there is a chain of infection in the locker room of the rockets. Yao was the first one, then T-Mac and who is the third? The medical team has to take some precautionary measures.

Re: Yao leads Rockets to clip Cleveland

We need another scoring threat...i checked the espn trade machine....SNyder and james plus a draft pick for bibby would be nice...

They are only 5 games out of first place really. They should win every single game in the month of february. I think they will make the 6th seed caus portland will falter and GS will run out of gas. New Orleans has definitely been the suprise of this season cause of Peja Stojakovic. He's created so much range and spread the floor so wide. All chris paul has to do is penetrate, kick it out to peja or throw it inside to david west. The way the rockets look, realistically they have a chance to get out of the first round but that's it. T-mac looks miserable out there, like he doesn't want to play here anymore in contrast to his first season.

Re: Yao leads Rockets to clip Cleveland

Hey everyone, just let you know, I won't be online for most of the day today (Friday), so I won't be able to review and post any of your comments until later tonight.

Too bad the Cavs didn't have some of their key players in the game, otherwise that wouldve shown that the Rockets are starting to come into their own. Even so, they still took care of business. The next several games should be another test for them. The Hawks, blazers and Kings. I can't believe we are tied for the 8th spot in the playoffs. It aint so bad facing Phoenix now if we do end up 8th cause with Shaq on their squad they can't run up and down the floor trying to tire Yao out now.

Re: Yao leads Rockets to clip Cleveland

Ok I'll keep this short but sweet:

YAOS BLOCK OF LEBRONS DUNK WAS AWESOME!
I MADE IT MY NEW WALLPAPER.

John-Id hate to give up the following players, but do you think New Jersey might go with this trade: Landry + brooks + 1st round pick for Jason Kid?

Or Landry + Brooks + 1st round pick for Andre Miller?

JIm

Jim, I don't think those numbers will work unless Houston throws in alot of cash, too. If you go to ESPN.com's NBA section and look for "Trade Machine," you can plug in different trade scenarios to see if the salaries will work to make a deal. -- John

Re: Yao leads Rockets to clip Cleveland

The fighting spirit of a sick T-Mac should be greatly appreciated by the fans.

Idleman is lucky enough to have Bonzi and Scola stepping up to take over the job of T-Mac. But I really do not know whether Idleman still misses his favourite Hayes.
