A child should be obedient to the parents in principle. But when the orders from the parents are too extreme, a child should apply common sense in obeying the orders. Of course, I am talking about a MATURE child. If the child is not mature, he will obey to all the orders, even if they are silly ones. Carrying out foolish orders will be harmful to the child himself and to the parents also.
I hope the parties concerned have finally learnt a costly lesson.

Good luck, Yao. But I'm sure Yao will be back by the Olympics, even if he's not 100%. The guy has a big heart for his country, and we should respect that.
